The 777 Update is a Prince Fan News Update not affiliated with Prince Rogers Nelson, Paisley Park, NPG Records, Warner Brothers Records, the NPG Music Club or NPGMusicClub.Com in any way, shape or form. Well, the "One Night Alone" tour was in full swing up until the planned break of March 13. The only dates right now that we can guarantee are the Washington D.C. dates and Atlanta. Uptown Magazine also needs the 777 Update readers to help as we will discuss and show you how you can help. Enough talk ... let's have some action. Newz item #1-Only D.C. & Atlanta dates are now confirmed on Tour Forget the dates I sent you with the past two updates as a list of concert schedules. Due to a ticket scalping situation, all dates have been changed. The only dates confirmed right now are: Friday, March 29 | WASHINGTON, DC | Warner Theater; Saturday, March 30 | WASHINGTON, DC | Warner Theater; Sunday, March 31 | WASHINGTON, DC | Warner Theater | Wednesday, April 3 | ATLANTA, GA | Symphony Hall, Woodruff Arts Center | Thursday, April 4 | ATLANTA, GA Symphony Hall, Woodruff Arts Center That is all the dates for NOW. Newz item #2-Prince changes Tour plans due to Scalping situation Prince tried doing something nice. He tried to let his fans know before a week's notice where he would be performing. But by also letting his fans know, he was letting scalpers know. Ticketmaster, who has no real ticket competition, is shady in the first place. This was brought to my attention by friend319. Before NPGMC members could get the best seats possible thru their NPGMC members, Rows 1-13 in the middle were gone. NPGMC members could only get seats on the right side. Where did those tickets go? Would you believe scalpers were able to get sections and rows together and were selling them online? Scalpers were Selling blocks of tickets online when NPGMC members could only buy two tickets at a time. Now, I did not include the update readers in a story I wrote called "Everybody Wants to Sell What Has Already Been Sold" because for me to give it to you would have been self-serving. Instead, it was posted all over the web on various fan sites and was also sent to the Music Club. So many of you I told to join this club because you would be getting the best seats possible. How can I tell you guys that if you were not? That is why I wrote what I wrote. Did it work? Long-time Update reader JoVonAngel from Chicago attended the Chicago soundcheck & confronted Prince about the ticket scalping situation face-to-face. Prince seemed rather upset and displeased learning that most NPGMC members were sitting 13 to 20 rows back for the concert. SO what is happening now? Tickets again are Will-Call only as well as NPGMC members will have a certain section of seats on hold for them. I would like to thank JoVon for taking a stand and speaking up. Due to this tho, it seems that Prince will only be giving a one-week notice before shows and a one-to-two day presale alert. Again, thanks to friend319 and JoVonAngel for taking a stand. Also kind thanks go to the NPN (New Power Network) & the NPC (New Power Clique), as well as NPNY (NEWPOWERNEWYORK) in helping this story get out. Newz item #3-Uptown Magazine needs 777 Update readers reviews/pics Uptown Magazine needs readers reviews and pictures taken on the "One Night Alone" tour so far. If you attended any of the concerts that have taken place & you wish to have your review put in Uptown Magazine, please email us at RoLthaDice@Aol.com and send your review in. I know that picture taking is not allowed at his concerts, but if your drunk Uncle Willie was able to sneak a camera in to the venue, please send us pics. Pics also needed would be of venue shots and shots of the tickets. If you ALREADY did a review of the show and posted it on Prince.Org or the NPGMC website and still wish to contribute a review to Uptown, please rewrite your review or add more details to the review then you originally gave. You will be given credit for your reviews and picture submissions. Whatever name you choose is fine as well, for those wishing to maintain a low-profile. So if you want to give credit to Drunk Uncle Willie, do so (LOL). I look at Uptown Concert and Celebration reviews as a mini-yearbook of events that took place in your life and that others experienced. Uptown Magazine is run by the fans for the fans. Your contributions are always more then welcome. So send us the reviews, whether you liked the show or not. Also, if you do not feel like writing a full scale review, just send us a few tidbits that you remember from the show or afterparty. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. PS, after sending us your reviews and questions, we will turn over everything to Uptown and they will contact you the rest of the way. Deadline for reviews and pics is for Uptown's next issue is APRIL 1ST!
