High, we see we have found each other. This page is for all the motor babies in the Detroit Metro region to stay connected with all things NPG Music Club and Paisley-associated happening in the Metro Detroit area. We received a very cool idea during The Dance Electric club party from May 2001 - our first major motor baby event. If you are interested in joining the Motor Baby Emale Update, drop our webmaster a line and you'll be on the list. This emale, which will be sent to your in-box on a periodic basis, will help you stay informed to what is happening with The Detroit Crawl, news coming out of Minneapolis as well as associated artist concert and general news. Since September 2001 The Detroit Crawl has been putting on monthly HouseQuake HouseParties, ranging from sit-down dinners to club parties in Metro Detroit, evening parties at someone's house/apartment/flat held once a month, and trips to Chicago to party with our Chicagnoation / ChiTown Generation friends at The Berlin. We also, on occassion, coordinate trips to Paisley Park, like official events such as NPG Music Listening Parties and those Friday night NPGMusicClub/Love4OneAnother nightclub/one-off gigs at The Park. We also get together to support Rare Form, one of the local bands with ties to our group, as well as Julian's Ride, another regional funk rock band hailing from Chicago. We initially patterned The Detroit Crawl HouseQuakes in similarity to the monthly events the crew of LoveSexy DC (greater Washington DC, Baltimore and Richmond, Va. region) have done since 1994-95. Sure, we are the new association on the block, so please forgive us as we are taking our own Motor Baby-steps (we are now past our terrible 2s stage). But rest assured, The Detroit Crawl has some interesting things planned for the group in the near future. As you can see, a wide range of events. The staffers at The Detroit Crawl have talked to and have chatted with many Motor Babies in the past few years since we've been online. All tend to say the same thing - "I'm the only Prince freak on the block and I don't have anyone 2 play with." Or, "I'm the only one at my office that likes Prince. All my coworkers think he's weird. But when they read about Prince in the news, I'm the first one they talk to." All we ask is for you to contact our webmaster and give your name (first, last, alias, whatever), emale address, and the city you reside in. That's it. Maybe next time when we have the urge to crawl over to The Windy City and tear down the Berlin and party with ChicagoNation, we can do it in mass Motor Baby style.
